The sharp rise of spandex, a textile raw material, has attracted the attention of the industry since the Spring Festival of 2021. As a matter of fact, in the past six months, the price of spandex has been rising, and its price trend was like a vertical ladder.
According to the tracking statistics, since the low point in August last year, the price of spandex has increased by more than 78%, and the quotation in some places has increased from 28500 yuan / ton to 52000 yuan / ton. Some spandex products with large demand growth, such as the quotation of 20D, even reached 56000-60000 yuan / ton. The price of spandex has risen since August last year, mainly due to the large increase in demand, the low stock of production enterprises and the short supply of products. After the Spring Festival, the price of PTMEG, the raw material for spandex production, rose sharply. At present, the price per ton has exceeded 26000 yuan, which also stimulated the rise of cost of spandex.
